What makes Spravato® different?
Standard antidepressants work on serotonin, dopamine, or norepinephrine. Spravato® is different—it targets the N-methyl-D-aspartate (NMDA) receptor, a different part of the brain, to help restore synaptic connections.
Is Spravato® right for you?
Spravato is specifically designed for adults with Treatment-Resistant Depression (TRD). You may be eligible if:
You have been diagnosed with Major Depressive Disorder.
You have tried at least two oral antidepressants without sufficient improvement.
You are willing to continue taking an oral antidepressant alongside Spravato.
Important Safety Information
Spravato® can cause serious side effects, including sedation and dissociation (feeling disconnected from your mind/body). For this reason, it is only available through a restricted program called the Spravato REMS.
You will be monitored by a healthcare provider for at least 2 hours after every treatment session. You cannot drive or operate machinery until the next day.
THE PROCESS
Your path to relief
Consultation
We review your medical history and past medications to ensure Spravato is safe and appropriate for you. We also handle the insurance prior authorization.
Treatment Day
You'll self-administer the nasal spray in our comfortable suite. You'll relax in a recliner for 2 hours while our staff monitors your blood pressure and comfort.
Maintenance
Induction: Twice a week for 4 weeks.
Maintenance: Once a week for 4 weeks, then tapered based on your response.
